Because no food in your house will remain very long before they are all gone. But it is very different for those who leave by themselves or a small family with only 2 to 3 family members.
As you are already aware, there are various shapes and sizes for food containers including
large storage containers. Different containers are made of different materials so you may want to consider
the purpose of the containers you are paying for.
Plastic Material
Material such as plastic is good for storing dry food such as cereals, crackers, snacks, etc. Avoid using plastic container for
heating up food in a microwave if you can since harmful chemical reaction can occur which is absorbed by the food and then consumed by us.
Glass Material

suitable for microwave and any type of food. Storing odorous food will not be a problem with glass containers since glass does not absorb any odour, unlike plastic containers.
